Montréal, Plateau Mont-Royal
Our client was forced to relocate his small neighbourhood restaurant… a risky choice for the only BYOW (Bring your own wine) on the Mont-Royal Avenue. The inspiration and essence of the concept is “patchwork”, appropriate for “Les Héritiers” meaning “the successors”, obviously sounding more poetic in French. The wood wall, going full depth of the restaurant is certainly the star of the place. It is built with planks of oxidized barn wood that has aged over 60 years, sanded down, varnished and installed in concentric squares. A patchwork of mirrors, ceramic tiles and antic furniture suggest creativity and authenticity: a tribute to the Plateau Mont-Royal!
